The upholstery of the RV will extremely vulnerable to suffering damage during storage. You can reduce this risk and keep the upholstery from developing foul smells by thoroughly steam-cleaning it. This will allow for bacteria and debris that may be deep in the upholstery to be eliminated. If you want to avoid renting a steam cleaner and doing this work on yourself, there are detailing services that will be able to provide this type of deep cleaning to the interior fo the vehicle.

Use A Fuel Stabilizer

The fuel in the RV will gradually degrade over the time that it is being stored. This can lead to problems when you attempt to use the vehicle again. In particular, the engine may stall or even become damaged due to the fuel failing to burn correctly. You can limit this risk by using a fuel stabilizer. This will greatly extend the lifespan of the fuel so that it will still be usable when you are ready for the RV again. You should be aware that there are limits to the amount of time that the fuel stabilizer will be effective. If you will need to store the vehicle for longer than several months, you may want to fully drain the fuel tank.

Keep The RV Stored In A Suitable Unit

When storing the RV, it is beneficial to minimize the amount that the vehicle will be directly exposed to the elements. Simply storing the RV in the open can lead to the exterior suffering corrosion. Ideally, the RV should be stored in a covered unit so that it will be shielded from the rain and other types of precipitation.
